We found an unique book this week. It is a copy of the book: A Cancer Therapy, results of fifty cases by Max Gerson, M.D., Signed by his daughter Charlotte Gerson Strauss.
Max Gerson (October 18, 1881 – March 8, 1959) was a German-born American physician who developed the Gerson Therapy, an alternative dietary therapy, which he claimed could cure cancer and most chronic, degenerative diseases. Gerson described his approach in the book A Cancer Therapy: Results of 50 Cases. The National Cancer Institute evaluated Gerson`s claims and concluded that his data showed no benefit from his treatment. The therapy is scientifically unsupported and considered potentially hazardous and therfore it is illegal to market it in the United States.
If you search for more information on the internet about Max Gerson and his therapy, you will find that there is a lot to discover. Charlotte Gerson Strauss even claims that Adolf Hitler has used this therapy during the period (1933-1934) when he became prime minister of Germany.
The bookcover unfortunetely is loose from the book itself, so the condition is not good. It is a 1977 tenth printing of a third edition by TOTALITY BOOKS, PUBLISHERS, Del Mar, California, paperback. The book has also some waterdamage.
